Effect of forestomach flora and motility insufficiency on plasma thiamine concentration in calves

Özet
Calves with impaired rumen motility revealed decreased plasma thiamine, absence of protozoa in ruminal fluid, increased methylene blue reduction time and higher rumen bacterial count compared to normals. Study indicated that thiamine supplementation is to be considered as a part of treatment of impaired ruminal motility.
