SHAPE DEPENDENT ELECTROCATALYTIC HYDROGEN EVOLUTION BY COPPER-ANTIMONY SULFIDE

Özet
The chalcostibite electrocatalysts are using towards energy conversion processes including hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) due to its excellent properties as low-cost and high activity. Herein, the ternary chalcostibite copper-antimony sulfides in different shapes and as nanodot (D-CuSbS2) and microrod (R- CuSbS2) were synthesized by hot-injection approach. These chalcostibite materials were firstly investigated on the electrocatalytic HER in alkaline media. Microrod shape of catalyst displayed enhancing catalytic activity of HER in alkaline conditions when compared to spherical shape of catalyst. This result may be explained by efficient charge separation efficiency of 1D materials, which is microrod shape.
