Mineral contents of different parts of Capparis ovata and C. spinosa plants wild growing

Özet
Mineral contents of different parts (bud, leave, fruit and fruit stem) of C. ovata and C spinosa plants were determined by ICP-AES. Ca, K, Mg, Na, P and S were found as major elements of caper plants. While Ca contents of C. ovata change between 2812.35 mg/kg (fruit) and 20803.18 mg/kg (leave), Ca contents of C. spinosa varied between 2380.94 mg/kg (fruit) and 27713.70 mg/kg (leave). While the highest K is found in the stem of C. ovata (24178.07 mg/kg), the highest K was found in the leave of C. spinosa (23837.84 mg/kg). mg contents of C. ovata varied between 2036.59 mg/kg (fruit stem) and 4124.06 mg/kg (leave). In addition, mg contents of C spinosa changed between 1170.72 mg/kg (stem) and 4435.00 mg/kg (leave). While P contents of C. ovata vary between 1383.13 mg/kg (fruit stem) and 4038.33 mg/kg (bud), contents of C. spinosa ranged from 960.83 mg/kg (stem) to 4143.15 mg/kg (bud). The highest Fe was found in the leave of C. spinosa (57.52 mg/kg). The study showed that the caper plant parts were well supplied with essential elements.
