The Use of the Backpack LiDAR System in the Genarate of 3D Models in Salt Caves; The Example of Tuzluca, Igdir
Turkish Journal of Remote Sensing · Ocak 2022
Özet
Caves have an important place in the history of the world. The salt is preservative and tasting in addition to its feature, it has been determined that salt caves can be used today as an alternative treatment method for various diseases. These developments are health tourism In terms of this, the interest in salt caves has increased. The use of salt caves for health tourism and restoration of caves has started. In restoration, salt caves were needed in 3B models and cave maps. In this study, the 3B version of the salt cave in Igdir Province Tuzluca County, which was opened for health tourism, was created using the LiDAR system. The fast, flexible use of the Backpack LiDAR system and its support with the simultaneous Positioning and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm has increased its use in confined spaces such as caves. The model created has been converted into a geodetic coordinate system. The model's position and conversion accuracy are shown to be available in geodetic studies. This study found that the backpack LiDAR system can be used for cave studies.
