Views of the students on the landscape planning and design of Selcuk University Alaaddin Keykubat Campus

Universities are institutions that provide learning as well as institutions that provide a social environment and contribute to students’ individual development. University campuses are places where students and other users spend their free time outside the classroom and allow for social and cultural interaction. With its aesthetic and recreational qualities, open and green areas in university campuses are designed towards the demands and needs of the users and this creates motivation for learning, especially for students. In the research qualitative and quantitative research methods were used and a questionnaire was created as a data collection tool. Within the scope of the research, in the case of the Alaaddin Keykubat Campus of Selcuk University, the opinions and satisfaction levels of students on campus landscape planning and design were investigated. A questionnaire was applied to the students in the campus, in 2017–2018 fall and spring semesters. The data were collected by one-to-one interview. Participants were asked a total of 50 questions about campus planning and design. The answers given to the questionnaire were evaluated with SPSS 2016 program and ar-ranged as a descriptive table. With the data obtained, suggestions will be developed in accordance with student views on campus landscape planning and design.
