Lupus miliaris disseminatus faciei: A case report

Lupus miliaris disseminatus faciei (LMDF) is an etiologically unknown facial granulomatous disease mostly seen in young adults and both sexes. Clinically, it is characterized by the formation of multiple red papules, symmetrically localized on the face. Although most lesions regress within a few years, even without treatment, disfiguring scars remain on the face. LMDF can be cured without scar formation when therapies are started in the early phase of the disease. Here, we present a 32-year-old male whose disease was determined at the early phase and treated with systemic tetracycline successfully without developing scars.
