Özet
Colloidal systems have emerged as a cornerstone of innovation in the cosmeceutical industry, bridging the gap between traditional cosmetics and therapeutic formulations. This chapter explores the role of industrial colloids—ranging from vesicular systems like liposomes and niosomes to particulate carriers such as nanoparticles and microspheres—in enhancing the efficacy, stability, and consumer appeal of personal care products. Modern consumers increasingly demand multifunctional products with minimal effort, prompting formulators to adopt advanced delivery technologies that optimize bioavailability and sensory properties. Emphasis is placed on sustainable innovations, including the utilization of marine-derived colloids and bioactive compounds from aquatic waste such as seafood shells, fish scales, and algae, which contribute to environmental sustainability while offering potent antioxidant and antiinflammatory benefits. The chapter also reviews emerging technologies such as transferosomes, ethosomes, and silicone-based vesicles that enable targeted, controlled, and deeper skin penetration of actives. Together, these advancements represent the next generation of intelligent delivery systems, driving both scientific progress and economic growth in the global cosmeceutical sector.
