The Synthesis and Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) Complexes of Three New Unsymmetrical vic-Dioximes

The reaction of anti-chlorophenylglyoxime with suitable alkyiamines in ethanol-water at 0 °C gives the unsymmetrical vic-dioximes, namely, N-ethylaminophenylgly-oxime (L1H2), N-propylaminoglyoxime (L2H2) and N-butylaminoglyoxime (L3H2). The Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of these ligands are square-planar while the Co(ll) complexes are octahedral with water molecules as axial ligands. The structures of these complexes are proposed based on elemental analyses, IR and magnetic susceptibility measurements. © 1995, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
