A research to determine the relationship between emotional labor and burnout

In this study, the relationship between burnout and emotional labor which is defined as effort, planning and control that is required to demonstrate the desired behavior to be performed organizationally in interpersonal affairs (Academy of Management Review 21(4):986-1010, 1996) was examined. In this context, the main purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between emotional labor and burnout. In the study, survey method was used and the study was carried on hotel business operating in the tourism industry in the province of Antalya. As a result of the study, positive and statistically significant relationship was found between emotional labor and burnout.
