Sustainability in Society 5.0 Perspective

The rapid consumption of natural resources by humans as if they are unlimited, the increasing world population, industrialization, and excessive consumption habits of people have begun to cause the balance between humans and nature to deteriorate. All of these have led to the thoughtless use of natural resources, environmental degradation, and global disasters in order to meet the increasing energy need by increasing the world’s energy need. Increasing social, economic, and environmental concerns about the future have increased the importance of sustainability. At this point, we come across the concept of Society 5.0, which emphasizes the importance of research and innovation for providing long-term services to humanity within the borders of the world. From this point of view, in this study, the concept of sustainability will be tried to be explained from the perspective of Society 5.0, which is a human-centered society model that uses technology in the most beneficial way. For this purpose, in this study, we will summarize by examining the results of different studies dealing with Society 5.0 practices that mediate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
