Ligand-exchange chromatography of nucleosides and nucleic-acid bases on a novel modified co(II)-loaded lycopodium clavatum and kinetics in the resin

Rapid separations of nucleosides and nucleic-acid bases can be carried out by liquid-column chromatography using a modified bDAEG-sporopollenin. The purpose of the present study was to confirm the utility of Co2+-loaded bis- diaminoethyl-glyoximated-sporopollenin and to investigate the kinetics of the ligand exchange of nuclesides and nucleic-acid bases in Co2+-loaded bDAEG-sporopollenin. Ligand exchange in the cobalt form has been utilized as a stationary phase to investigate the ligand-exchange chromatographic behavior of nucleic-acid bases and nucleosides. © Oxford University Press 1993.
