The effects of heating rate and sintering temperature on the strength, firing shrinkage, and bulk density of porcelain tiles

Özet
In this study, the effects of heating rate and sintering temperature on the strength, firing shrinkage, and bulk density of porcelain tiles are investigated. Experiments were designed as a 32 full-factorial experimental design, with the individual effects of two main factors and their interaction being determined. Strength, firing shrinkage, and bulk density values were analyzed using a MINITAB 17 statistical software program. It was found that the interaction of heating rate*sintering temperature affects strength, firing shrinkage, and bulk density values and that as a main factor, the effect of sintering temperature is significant.
