World agricultural crops and products trade has shown an increasing trend. Turkey is among the countries in foreign trade advantages with its agricultural potential. As one of the most important apple producer country, monitoring of developments in the world apple trade is extremely important for Turkey. The aim of this study was to evaluate Turkey's position in world apple trade. The developments of apple foreign trade between Turkey and importer countries was analyzed using Trade Intensity Analysis Method. Turkey supplied 55% of total apple exports to Iraq. Dependency on a single country in apple exports carries risks. Development in apple production of China, India and EU countries has also reflected in the balances of international apple trade. Turkey should increase apple export by diversifying foreign markets to sustain its apple exports. In this context, market researches should be conducted especially to find and entrance into new markets. Besides the fresh apples, the activities for the export of dry apples should be implemented.
